A NICU STORY | THOUGHTS FROM MOM
“My little boy was born at 32 weeks(11/1/14) and is still in the NICU at Tomball Regional. He was 3 lbs. 6 oz. at birth but now weighs 5 lbs. 9 oz. Granted his weight is there but he is having problems learning to breath while he eats. My little bundle's name is Orin Christopher.

My boy, Orin Christopher, was conceived through an embryo adoption. I lost the ability to have children normally when I was 22 years old. However, by the grace of God I was given a second chance to be a mom and care for this little boy of mine. I want to let others know that there are options for those that are having difficulties conceiving.”

A Note From Autumn:

“This was my first session and I enjoyed it greatly. I am glad I was able to meet Donna and her little boy Orin. They have a very unique story and I'm so glad Donna shared it with me. Orin was very alert and wanted to hang out during his photo shoot and I think mom loved to capture that. It was nice getting to hang out with both of them. I loved being able to capture several of his silly face he makes as well as a nice little smile. These memories I know she will cherish forever.”

A NICU STORY | THOUGHTS FROM MOM
“I have twin baby boys, Kolton and Kian. They were born at 24 weeks. Kian was 1 lb 14 oz and Kolton was 1 lb 12 oz.

It is an extremely difficult roller coaster ride. We are twelve weeks into our NICU journey and I want you to know it does get easier. You learn to cope with things in your own way. You learn the process of 1 day forward and 3 days back. But just know that there is light at the end of the tunnel. This seems like your entire world now, but in the long run, it will be one small piece of the puzzle. You will succeed, you will make it past this and you will be forever changed.”

A Note From Ashley:
"The Slife family were great to work with and I enjoyed spending time getting to know more about them and their journey. Kian and Kolton were precious and looked so cute all dressed up in their fancy holiday clothes."

A NICU STORY | THOUGHTS FROM MOM
Kynlee Brianne 3/3/14, born at 35weeks4days, weighed 5pounds10ounces.

Kynlee was transferred from Scott and White in Brenham to Scott and White NICU in College Station the day after she was born with breathing difficulties. My husband stayed with her until I could meet them there when I was released 2 days later. The minute I got to the NICU I was offered to hold my baby, which was the best feeling in the world! The entire NICU staff from nurses, director, to doctors were amazing there and made us feel completely welcome from day one, and she was there a total of 14 days.”

A NICU STORY | THOUGHTS FROM MOM
"Conner was born on 9-10-14. He was 21.5 inches long and 10 pounds 6 ounces. His entrance into the world was pretty traumatic. He had shoulder dystocia.

I had Conner on Wednesday and we were not discharged until Sunday evening. It was a very scary situation to not be able to hold our little boy after giving birth to him. His right arm still does not move but we are doing physical therapy for his arm and have received good news from the Cardiologist for the two holes he has in his heart. We are taking it a day at a time; enjoying our precious little angel.”

A Note From Mellissa:
“Connor is an absolute cutie pie.  It was a nice sunny day, but it was WINDY, so it made it sort of cool out. We met up at the George Bush Presidential Library, which is an amazing place to take photographs. There is the grassy areas, statues, buildings, and a beautiful garden and pond area with Texas A&M not far in the background. Although we were faced with a few complications, I think we came out with some great shots. It was great meeting Mr. Connor, his mommy Danielle, and his aunt. I hope they had just as much fun and enjoy the photos.”
