We Welcome New Photography Volunteer, Jamie!

Jamie Roye

Rare Moments Photography
Service areas: Tampa Bay, FL

About Jamie -
"I love the thought of giving such a special and wonderful gift to families. As a mother it pulls on my heart strings. I had a scare with my daughter; I realized how important life is and how pictures can capture moments lived in an instant. Some times it's the little things like a click of a shutter to heal people's hearts and encourage the soul."

Bentley's Preemie Prints NICU Graduate Shoot

Please enjoy our inspirational photos and consider supporting our mission to share hope with families who have a baby born prematurely or critically ill. Our programs include an online support group, the gift of photography, group events and meetings, information, and email support. Our mission is to connect parents and let them know they are not alone. We thank our supporters and donors for allowing us to touch the lives of NICU, preemie, and angel families.

A note from mom:
The NICU was the roughest thing we as a family had to go through. I would stare at his empty crib wishing and hoping I could wake up in the middle of the night and see him resting peacefully in there. The NICU became our second home and I made life long friends with other parents, nurses, and doctors. The day we were discharged was the happiest day of our lives.

I think Bentley is the cutest little boy I've seen in a while. I had a lot of fun with this little boy. He made my job easy!

NICU Graduate Shoot in Texas!

Please enjoy our inspirational photos and consider supporting our mission to share hope with families who have a baby born prematurely or critically ill. Our programs include online support and inspiration for NICU families, the gift of charitable photography, group events and meetings, information sharing, and email support. Our mission is to connect parents and let them know they are not alone. We thank our supporters and donors for allowing us to touch the lives of NICU, preemie, and angel families.

A note from mom:
"Bailen is a big boy with a sweet personality. He is our first baby. Bailen was diagnosed with nonimmune hydrous fetalis. He has a chest tube that drains the fluid off of his right side. Our journey has been very overwhelming. My pregnancy was normal up to 35 weeks. At my check-up, my doctor became very concerned and did an ultrasound. The ultrasound showed fluid in Bailen's chest. I was admitted to the ER that night, and sent to Houston the next day. Bailen was born the next day after meeting with specialist.Bailen has been very strong since birth, but our journey was a very long one."

Volunteer NICU Photographer:
Lindsey Louise - College Station, Tx

A note from Lindsey...
"We had a blast at this shoot with sweet Bailen! We met at a wonderful park and just spent time playing with toys and exploring. Bailen has such a wonderful personality that I was able to make friends with him immediately. As I got to know Bailen, I was able to see his joyful spirit. Whether it was playing with toys, being pushed in the wagon, blowing bubbles with his mouth, exploring the bridge and grass and chair - Bailen had a blast and always had a sweet smile on his face. Meeting Bailen and his mother, Marsha, was so wonderful! I had a blast capturing these moments and hope that they tell a sweet story or Bailen at 10 months!"

Thank you Lindsey for your volunteerism! The pictures are beautiful and will be treasured forever by this family. To Bailen's family: we are so happy you are a part of Preemie Prints. You have a precious strong little boy, and we are blessed to know you! Enjoy the sneak peeks!

NICU Graduate Shoot-Twin Time! Holdon & Easton

Please enjoy our inspirational photos and consider supporting our mission to share hope with families who have a baby born prematurely or critically ill. Our mission is to connect parents and let them know they are not alone. We thank our supporters and donors for allowing us to touch the lives of NICU, preemie, and angel families.

A note from mom:
"Our boys were taken to the NICU within 10 min of being born. We had no breathing issues, but twin A struggled with Jaundice and both struggled with eating and weight gain. Twin B had a few Brady episodes. Although they were "feeder growers" it was a difficult time for us as a family as we also have a 2 yr old daughter."

Volunteer NICU Photographer:
Brooke Hazard, Tampa area - FL

A note from Brooke...
"I recently had the honor of photographing twins, Holden and Easton, for their 1 year photos. Despite having to spend 16 days in the NICU after an early delivery, the boys have blossomed and are doing so well...exploring, laughing, and crawling everywhere! They have a wonderful big sister, Brooklyn, to help them; she is just as sweet as the twins. Our session was so much fun, for the whole family was up for any idea and location I suggested. We also incorporated two smash cakes to celebrate the boys 1 year. We all enjoyed watching then devour the cake and icing. Thank you, Tim, Roxanne, Brooklyn, Holden, and Easton, for a lovely session. God bless you!"

Thank you Brooke for your volunteerism! The pictures are beautiful and will be treasured forever by this amazing family.

"After a very long stay for me on hospital bed rest, my babies were born at 35weeks. My littlest, Bryson, was 3lb 10oz and needed some stimulation after birth. Ashlyn was 4lb 7oz and Morgan was 4lb 11oz, both went to the regular nursery right after being born. They were both moved to the NICU to join their brother after 2 days. All had bradys, the girls had some severe apnea, and had problems keeping their temps regulated."

Volunteer NICU Photographer:
Karina Silva, Houston, Tx

A note from Karina...
"The triplets were absolutely adorable! Ashlyn, Bryson, and Morgan were so well behaved even on a hot humid day. It's amazing how at such a young age their cute different personalities began to show(as you can see). I had such a great time with them, I give props to Dawn, mother of triplets and a 4yr old, wow!"

This beautiful family faced such a long  journey from bedrest to the NICU and then coming home with three preemies. Thank you Karina for your volunteerism! The pictures are beautiful and will be treasured forever by this amazing family.

Preemie Prints Sew & Craft Update

Here is just a short update on some of the things going on in our Sew & Craft division!

We now have a Richmond chapter so if you live in the Houston Tx or Fort Bend County areas and would like to get involved please contact amber@preemieprints.org or join the group to stay up to date on our events! If you do not live in the area but would like to donate handmade items we would sincerely appreciate it. Thank you for considering!!

Together our volunteers are working on lots of projects for NICU babies. Here are some little giraffes that were just recently finished.

Here is a picture from our sewing meeting held in Bryan, Tx at Millican House. We sewed with some of the residents and one amazing lady helped hand sew giraffes. It was very special!

Here is a picture just sent in from Tina, the organizer of the Richmond chapter! She just completed these mom's warmers. These are filled with rice so NICU moms can just pop them in the hospital microwave and have a heating pad anytime. They help with the relief of pain associated with stress, fatigue, or breast feeding! These care bear warmers are so adorable. I grew up in the 80's so I love these !!

Here are some volunteers (and a couple adorable little helpers) at the Richmond Preemie Prints meeting last month. They were helping stuff giraffes.

A volunteer working on NICU positioners. These are donated on a regular basis to our partner hospitals.

One of the organizers has a hurt knee and she still was working hard! She's been working on a special  project for St. Joseph's Hospital in Bryan, Tx. They had a special request and we are happy to help! Pictures to come soon.

More volunteers stuffing. We were also excited to have one of our volunteer photographers from the Houston area, Karina Silva, joining us! She is last on the right...

Gianna, Dana, & Karina stuffing giraffes for Preemie Prints
We received a precious donation in the mail a few days ago along with a beautiful card. These tiny preemie blankets were made in memory of a precious baby girl. We are honored to receive them. Many tiny preemies will be just a little warmer after receiving a blanket made with so much love.

Thank you so much Sara & Anna
