We pray these special memories from Preemie Prints

they were in overcoming their NICU journey together.

A NICU STORY | THOUGHTS FROM MOM

“This is the second late term preemie I've had. My son was born at 34 weeks 6 days gestation and now my daughter was born at 34 weeks 5 days gestation. Both weighed 5 lbs 7 oz and were 20 inches long. Both have been on the NICU. As of now my daughter is still in. Don't be discouraged if you have a preemie. The NICU is an amazing place to be. Although it is hard, it is nice knowing that your baby is being taken care of and will be in the best place to thrive when going home.”

A Note From Angela:
“I think this session went pretty well. Mom expected the baby to be sleeping but she had other plans for a little while. She ate a little and was in and out of sleep but we still got some really cute shots out of it. I enjoyed photographing this sweet little girl. She is just the most precious angel. The parents were very friendly. They were very warm and inviting and that made my nervousness disappear. I wished I could have gotten more shots, cuter poses but I think what we have are pretty good. They have a little boy and he was the cutest thing, and obviously loved his new baby sister.”

A NICU STORY | THOUGHTS FROM MOM
“Brian and I are the proud parents of a CHD baby that was born on Monday October 5th at 9:59 pm. We found out at 20 weeks that he had a congenital heart defect and that he would need heart surgery after birth to correct it. We named him Owen Brandon (Brandon was my maiden name). He was born at 39 weeks weighing in at 9 lbs 4 oz and 21 inches long!
A friend of mine, Ashley Faircloth, suggested that I contact you in regards to my little boy.

Our oldest ended up in the NICU for seven days after he was first born and we actually never got hospital pictures taken. To some this may seem like no big deal, but now being a NICU mom to two babies this is quite upsetting.”

A Note From Ashley:

“Owen has CHD and had heart surgery soon after his birth.  His scans after surgery showed great results and he goes back next week for another checkup!”
