they were in overcoming their NICU journey together.

A NICU STORY | THOUGHTS FROM MOM
“Adam Lee was born 11/24/2014 at 8 pounds and 21 1/2 inches long.
After baby Adam was born he was immediately sent to the NICU room. The journey was hard at first because I wasn't able to see my sweet son for a while but his dad always kept me posted on his status. As I regained strength from the delivery I was able to go see him. Oh, when I finally saw that little face and was able to hold him near sure made me so HAPPY! After that day I was in the room every chance I got so I could feed and bond with him. The staff at Scott and White NICU is so kind and gentle. They cared for my baby Adam like he was their own child. They are so AWESOME! Thank you Scott and White NICU Staff for all you did for my baby boy!”

A NICU STORY | THOUGHTS FROM MOM
“Our little Eliza arrived at 11:20 pm on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 34 weeks and 6 days. She was 6lbs 4 oz at birth and 20 inches long.
Miss Eliza was very sleepy and did not want to nurse or take a bottle for quite a few hours after birth. She was taken to the NICU after a short hour of bonding for overnight, and then once she started taking supplement bottles and practiced nursing, she graduated to "rooming in" with me for the next three days as she worked hard to keep her blood sugar, weight, and bilirubin stable. She came home with us at 35 weeks and 2 days gestational age; we closely monitor her weight every four or so days. She is almost three weeks old and just barely back up to birth weight after experimenting with several supplemental formulas and nursing every three hours round the clock.”

A Note From Christina:

“The photo shoot was a lot of fun! We went to George Bush Library and got to try out a bunch of different settings! Eliza was so cute, and her siblings were very energetic. I am so blessed to be able to share my photography with this family.”
