Rylan -- NICU Grad

Please enjoy Preemie Prints' families’ inspirational story & photos.
Consider supporting our mission to share hope with families who have a baby born prematurely or critically ill. We thank our supporters, Preemie Prints volunteers, and donors for allowing us to continue touching the lives of NICU, preemie, and angel families.
We pray these special memories from Preemie Prints
will help families heal and remember how strong
they were in overcoming their NICU journey together.

A NICU STORY | THOUGHTS FROM RYLAN'S FAMILY
Our NICU journey was stressful, but it was amazing to watch our little girl grow day by day. Each day she was doing something new.

Rylan's photo session was taken and donated by Preemie Prints volunteer photographer, Jennifer Sternal-Johnson.

A NICU STORY | THOUGHTS FROM FAITH'S FAMILY
It all started when my water broke at 17 weeks for an unknown reason. I was in and out of the hospital for 7 weeks when Faith Annalise was born by emergency c-section at exactly 24 weeks. She truly is my little miracle baby! Our long journey in the NICU has been long stressful some days of let downs and some days of happiness. It has been a rollercoaster but she has taught me strength I never knew I had. Preemies are the strongest babies of all. She has more strength than anyone I have ever known. Hopefully soon she will be home and all of this will just be a blur in our memory. NICU life changes you!!

A Note From Jen:
Faith is gaining and growing, and hopefully going home soon!

A NICU STORY | THOUGHTS FROM JACK'S FAMILY
I had just started my 3rd trimester when I was diagnosed with gestational hypertension. This was my first pregnancy so I felt a little nervous but i still went on with my day. On the 25th of September I was told to go to triage because I have protein in my urine and I was diagnosed with preeclampsia. I was nervous but I still felt okay until I was told that I'm not leaving until I gave birth. I was only 30 weeks 5 days..I still had the rest of my 3rd trimester to go! On the 28th of September I had an ultrasound and I was told that I am having my son that day via c section because he was not moving around as much. I felt like someone told me a loved one had died..I was so devastated and immediately felt guilt and fear. He came out an hour after he decision was made. Ever since his birthday he has been doing great! He is just under 3lbs (he was born at 2lbs 5oz) and he doesn't need much help breathing and he's been getting feeding cues. My whole life has changed and I cannot thank the nurses and doctors enough for taking care of him. He will be home in no time!

Jack's photo session was taken and donated by Preemie Prints volunteer photographer, Jennifer Sternal-Johnson.

A Note From Jen:
Jack is doing so well in the NICU! Hoping he's home with his family soon.

Welcome New Photography Volunteer, Kelcie!

Please help us welcome volunteer photographer, Kelcie! She will be helping give the gift of NICU photography to preemie and NICU families in Maryland!

Service Area: Annapolis

Hospitals: Anne Arundel Medical Center

About Kelcie:
“My passion in Photography far exceeds the "photo", my passion in Photography is being given the opportunity to capture life's sweet moments that pass by in a blink of an eye. It is capturing the love between a family, it is capturing the strength a mother has while in labor, Mom and Dad sharing their excitement of welcoming a little bundle of joy. I absolutely adore everything "baby", which is why I specialize in; Birth, Fresh 48 and Newborn. There is nothing sweeter and more genuine than a new baby. I volunteered with Preemie Prints because I love what they're giving to the parents of children in the NICU, having a baby in the NICU is very hard as it is and I want to be able to bring a smile to your faces with the photos that I give you. Knowing that I could bring some light to your day, means more than you know.”
