Our Mission

Preemie Prints is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to support and share hope with preemie, NICU, and angel (those who have had a pregnancy or infant loss) families through a variety of outreach programs. Our outreach programs include: the gift of NICU & NICU graduate photography nationwide, currently with over 60 amazing volunteers. In addition we offer local support group meetings and handmade items to current NICU families in Bryan College Station and Houston. Nationally we share information, inspiration, and prayer.

Having a baby in the neonatal intensive care unit is a family crisis. Parents are rarely prepared for the challenges of the NICU environment, such as the fragile condition of the infant, the high level of technology, and frequent crises (Brown, Pearl & Carassco, 1991). The parents' reactions to the birth of a premature baby or sick newborn have been compared to the stages people progress through in reacting to a traumatic grief-producing event: shock, denial, anger, bargaining, acceptance and adaptation (Harrison, 1983). Over the years these reactions have stayed the same, but family centered care has become more important to the health of the baby. So support at the parent level is necessary. Preemie Prints is an organization supporting NICU parents in Texas and across the nation through in person, volunteer, and online networks.

501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving the nation and local areas of
Bryan College Station and Houston.

Our mission is to support babies born prematurely or critically ill &
their families through a variety of support programs.

Through Preemie Prints Sew & Craft we donate handmade items on a monthly basis for the NICUs to use and directly to families.. We include additional comfort items, when available, such as hand sanitizer, water, healthy snacks, toothbrushes, kleenex, books, gift cards etc.

National/Local - Support Groups, Online Support, Family Events
We host monthly meetings to offer support to current NICU families. Providing a meal and support from past NICU parents. We are currently hosting 30 meetings a year and 1 yearly family event to remember the babies who do not make it and celebrate the NICU graduates. We offer lots of online support through our facebook page, which has close to 3K organic likes, our website/blog, email, and phone support.

Future Programs
NICU/Angel Support House
Through increased support and donations we aim to open the Bryan College Station NICU support house. Which will have 1 overnight room for out of town guests, a support library, a photography room, our administrative offices, a lactation room, a playroom for preemies/babies/graduates with compromised immune systems, and serve as a relaxing environment for parents under stress. We will also have memorial gardens for angels of families across the Brazos Valley. We will utilize this house for support groups, one on one support, counseling, and much more.

Assistance Program For NICU families
We plan to offer small grants up to $800.00 dollars per family in need to help with costs associated with the NICU journey and helping to keep them close to their baby as research proves the closer and more often parents can be with baby, the sooner baby will heal and go home. Our small grants would cover costs such as: gas, food, hotel stays, travel items, and other needed items for baby’s homecoming or NICU stay.

Our mission is to support NICU, preemie, and angel
families through a unique network that offers HOPE.
