A NICU STORY | THOUGHTS FROM AUDREY AND ANTHONY'S FAMILY
Audrey and Anthony have come a long way. They are strong fighters, and we feel blessed every day to be with them. We are so grateful for the love and support of the Strong NICU doctors, nurses and staff.  Audrey was born at 3lbs 7oz and was in the NICU for 59 days. Anthony was born at 1lb 12oz and was in the NICU for 75 days.

Audrey and Anthony's photo session was taken and donated by Preemie Prints volunteer photographer, Jennifer Sternal-Johnson.

A Note From Jen:
The sweetest twins! We met at a local park with Audrey and Anthony and their parents, along with the best photo assistants ever: their Aunties! It was a very loud session, but very fun and we got some great photos. Best wishes to Audrey, Anthony, and their family.

A NICU STORY | THOUGHTS FROM JEMMA'S FAMILY
Jemma was born at 30w5d weighing only 1lb 10oz. I was diagnosed with IUGR (intrauterine growth restriction) during pregnancy. The placenta didn't form well throughout and wasn't able to supply nutrients and blood well to the baby. We battled reversed and intermittent blood flow in the later weeks, but thankfully was caught early. The Dr admitted me to the hospital when I was 24w and gave steroids. I was monitored closely. We were able to detect small changes that allowed another round of steroids and then a successful c section. Jemma did not require breathing assistance. They did put an NG tube in for feeding. We fought hard with feeding. She battled reflux and constipation a lot, but the nurses and drs always worked diligently to give her the best care possible. She spent 66 days in the NICU. The team decided they would send her home because babies tend to do better at home once stable enough. Since being home, we were able to remove the NG tube a few weeks later. It's still been a struggle for feeds but now that she's 7 months old, she weighs 11lbs and actually gets hungry now!! It gets better. Don't be discouraged with milestones and expectations because these babies are fighters and will amaze you. They are on their own curve. It will get better, trust me.

A Note From Jen:
Jemma was the sweetest little model! We met at the beach and had a great session. Best wishes to her and her family!

Pray all the time that's what I did.

A Note From Brian:

Liberty was such a doll! And she brought her two older sisters along for moral support. She did great on the shoot, though, and even got to eat some hay out at the pumpkin patch! She practiced standing up a couple times while chewing on a pumpkin stalk, and the other girls had fun rolling the pumpkins and having hay fights. All in all, a pretty good shoot for everyone! : )
