About Victoria:

"My son was almost a preemie. A really close friend had her baby at 29.5 weeks gestation. Researching the NICU and preemies made me realize just what a struggle it is for the parents and not only the baby. I want to be there for the parents and to capture the time their baby spends in the NICU, no matter how much time that is. I am an amateur photographer who is in love with photography and would love to expand my experience and my business."

Service Area: Tampa Bay Area (Hillsborough & Pinellas Counties)

About Brooke:

"I started learning photography in 2008, after our wedding photos were horrible. I decided to offer affordable photography, but quality photography. I've grown in skill and learned that my passion is newborn and baby photography. I want to volunteer with Preemie Prints, because God recently showed me that I was making my photography business all about me; I was taking my focus off of Him and was consumed with myself and self doubt in my photography skill. I thankfully heard the Lord's call to my heart and am having a renewed focus on serving God and glorifying Him through the talent He's given me. I thought that Preemie Prints would be a wonderful way to share the love, hope, and glory of Jesus Christ. "

Service Areas:
Phoenix Metro Area, Mesa, Gilbert, Casa Grande, Tempe (Arizona)

About Alexandra:
"I want to volunteer, because I know that many families with premature babies do not have the money to spend on photos on top of their medical expenses. I, as a photographer and a mother, understand photos are one of the most important things about motherhood. I have been interested in photography for about 2 years and I started my business on 2-28-2012."

We welcome all of our new volunteers! Please share or +1 us! Help us spread the word about our expansion into all of these areas. We want to reach as many NICU parents as possible so they can benefit from the beautiful gift of NICU or NICU Graduate photography. With your help we can reach more families.

Preemie Prints NICU Graduate Photo Shoot - Baby Kyler

Please enjoy these gorgeous inspirational photos of two tiny NICU fighters and consider supporting our mission to share hope with families who have a baby born prematurely or critically ill. This mother explains so beautifully why our work is important. Our online support group, gift of photography, meetings, information, and email support, empowers parents in the NICU. We thank our supporters and donors for allowing us to touch the lives of NICU families through our many support programs. If you've thought about donating we are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization so your gift is tax deductible.

A note from mom:
"Kyler had PDA surgery before he was a month old on December 2, 2011. He has had two injections to treat his ROP and currently is still being treated for this. We go to the eye doctor every two weeks. He had sepsis infection and pneumonia during his 3 month stay in the NICU. He was diagnosis with chronic lung disease. Kyler stayed in the NICU from 11/11/11 until 02/16/2012 6 days before his due date."

Volunteer NICU Photographer:
Malisa Phillips, Fort Hood Texas

What Mom had to say about the shoot:
"Thank you! The Grad session was more than I could of imagined Malisa was nice, caring and she does amazing work! Thank you, if we told yall thank you everyday it wouldn't be enough! These pictures mean so much to us, the things people take for granted like holding you baby after they are born, or even a picture! Thank you so very much!"

We thank our volunteer Malisa for doing such an amazing job for this family after they faced such a difficult journey with baby Kyler. We are so happy to see how well he is progressing at home!!  These images are property of Preemie Prints, our volunteer photographers, and our families who have allowed us to share them with you. June NICU H.O.P.E. Meeting

Here are a few pictures from our June 2012 NICU H.O.P.E. Meeting in the Brazos Valley. Our meetings are held at The College Station Medical Center every month. All past and present NICU, preemie, and angel parents are invited to attend. We are so thankful for the support of C&J's Barbecue! They sponsored this month's meeting & provided a wonderful meal for all to enjoy.

NICU H.O.P.E. meetings are held to connect NICU parents. Parents offer support, ask questions, visit about experiences, and enjoy time with other parents who "have been there". Children are welcome to attend meetings. We now have a new volunteer who will be joining us to help out with the little ones. She loves children and is a wonderful new addition to our meetings. Thank you Emily! Bryan College Station NICU parents and those from surrounding areas are invited to join us!

A NICU Father's Day

Through The Glass

As I love you thru the glass,
the hours seem so slow to pass.
I stroke your skin, and hold your hand;
this isn't exactly what I had planned.
I cast my eyes up to the sky,
and say a little prayer;
that the Lord will hold you in His arms,
and keep you in His care, so sleep and grow my baby,
and dream of clouds of foam,
and I will Love you thru the glass
until you can come home.

Hold Me In Your Hearts

Hold me in your hearts,
for I hope you both
will soon hold my hand.

I heard your voices
before I was born,
and I hear them now.

Very little goes as planned,
but because of you,
I know I am not alone.

Because of you,
I will always be loved.
Here are just a few pictures of some more amazing NICU fathers! All of these photos are from Preemie Prints NICU & NICU Graduate shoots that have been gifted by our amazing network of volunteers across the US. We hope this compilation of images will share hope & happiness with you today. Please share this blog post or facebook status and if you feel inclined to make a small donation in support of our mission please do. Every donation helps to keep our work going.

Happy Father's Day NICU Dads!

A note from mom:
"I have spent the last 11 weeks in the NICU. The babies are getting ready to go home in the next few weeks and we would love pictures of them in the NICU. The photo shoot went great! We are constantly showing pictures to the nurses because they heard we did the shoot. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely recommend Preemie Prints to other moms."

Volunteer NICU Photographer:
Nancy Langenbahn, Rochester, NY

A note from Wendy about the NICU graduate shoot:
"With all four babies in one pod, I had the best time going back and forth shooting away! Ashlyn, Brody, Cooper and Kylie are such beautiful, precious bundles of joy!! Courtney and Cameron were both extremely excited and wonderful to work with. We were even able to get the families FIRST photo of everyone together! I was even lucky enough to hold two of them. I can't wait to photograph them all as they grow."

We thank our volunteer Nancy for doing such an amazing job for this family as they get close to coming home. We feel so blessed to have been apart of this family's NICU journey and look forward to watching the quads grow.  These images are property of Preemie Prints, our volunteer photographers, and our families who have allowed us to share them with you. Dallas Child Baby

There's a great article in the current issue of Dallas Child Baby devoted to preemies! It's an extremely informative and powerful read for parents of preemies, friends of preemies, and anyone surrounding the NICU experience. Dallas Child Baby is a bi-annual magazine devoted to first time families and distributed in hospitals, doctor offices, and baby outlets across the Dallas area. Preemie Prints is honored to be included as a support resource, alongside some other fantastic organizations.

Read "A Preemie Primer" Online. Article begins on page 10.
