Hospitals: Bayfront in Port Charlotte and Sarasota Memorial

About Lauren:
"Hi! My name is Lauren and I am a photographer in Southwest Florida. I specialize in birth and newborn photography and love what I do! I've had a camera in my hand my entire life and started working at portrait studios when I was 17. I now own my own photography business and cherish every client I get to work with. There's nothing quite like having a job where you get to snuggle sweet new babies!

When I learned about this organization and what they do, I just knew that I needed to volunteer my services. I know that the images created will be cherished for years to come!"

Service Area: Southern California

About Ryan:

"I am a photographer in Southern California and as long as I have considered doing photography, I have wanted to explore the opportunity to volunteer some of my time for families who have children in the NICU. These families are close to my heart because my youngest son was unexpectedly admitted to the NICU after his birth in 2012. He is a healthy, happy child today but that experience has become such a part of our story as a family as it is with any family who find their child in the NICU. I would truly love the opportunity to help these families capture their sweet ones as their time in the NICU is a part of their story."

Mason's NICU Grad Session

Please enjoy Preemie Prints' families’ inspirational story & photos.
Consider supporting our mission to share hope with families who have a baby born prematurely or critically ill. We thank our supporters, Preemie Prints volunteers, and donors for allowing us to continue touching the lives of NICU, preemie, and angel families.
We pray these special memories from Preemie Prints
will help families heal and remember how strong
they were in overcoming their NICU journey together.
A NICU STORY | THOUGHTS FROM MASON'S FAMILY
He was born at 35 & 3 and I only got a quick kiss before they took him away for hours. Then I got a little hand hold and was gone again. I didn't get to hold him for a day. He was only in the nicu for a week and a day but it felt like a year. He is better now and a healthy baby. The nicu was the hardest thing I've gone through. Which if you know me says a lot. Moms, you are not the only one there crying all the time I promise. I lived in the nicu while my son was there. Get outside, go for a walk. Getting away (when not breastfeeding) was very beneficial for my mental health. Even though I looked like the train wreck I was. Read to your baby. Do everything you can to bond while there. Be an advocate for your baby. If there's a nurse or doctor you don't want near your baby speak up they can and will be reassigned. It took me a while to step into my role as mom in the nicu given the circumstances. But once I did and advocated for us, things got better. Lastly, it can't rain all the time. Enjoy and hold onto the good moments.

Mason's photo session was taken and donated by Preemie Prints volunteer photographer, Jennifer Sternal-Johnson.
A Note From Jen:
I met Mason and his family at the local sunflower field last weekend. He was not impressed by the wind and the sun, but we managed to get some pretty cute photos anyways!
