Please enjoy Preemie Prints' families’ inspirational story & photos.
Consider supporting our mission to share hope with families who have a baby born prematurely or critically ill. We thank our supporters, Preemie Prints volunteers, and donors for allowing us to continue touching the lives of NICU, preemie, and angel families.
We pray these special memories from Preemie Prints
will help families heal and remember how strong
they were in overcoming their NICU journey together.
A NICU STORY | THOUGHTS FROM MOM
“Our little baby boy Jarrett
was born on August 6th at 1:14pm at College Station Medical Center. He weighed
7 pounds 15 ounces and was 20 inches long. On his second day in the hospital he
started breathing rapidly and he was observed and tests were run. He had an
upper respiratory infection and pneumothorax air bubble outside of his lung. He
was admitted to the NICU on Aug 7th.
This delivery of our 3rd
child did not go as we had hoped and planned, but we have been so thankful for
the NICU nurses and doctors who have loved on our little boy and provided us
great encouragement. The first night he was admitted was a whirlwind and unexpected.
We were scared and overwhelmed as we processed what was happening. But as we
have seen our little Jarrett improve each day and start to breath on his own,
we are so grateful for his life and the support we have had alongside us during
this time. Life is precious and we are excited to get to take him home soon!”
UPDATE: Jarrett has been discharged from the NICU and is a happy and healthy little boy.
A Note From Brian:
“Here are the sneak peaks
from Jarrett shoot last Monday evening. I had forgotten how much of
challenge it is to shoot a 4-month-old when all they can do is lay there!
Luckily, Amanda and Trouper had some good setups for Jarrett, a variety of outfits
and blankets, and a beautiful Christmas tree for a backdrop. It was pretty cute
to watch them try to wrangle up their other two kids, who alternated between
“helping” with the shoot to straight-up photobombing. Luckily, everyone was in
pretty high spirits, despite Jarrett waking up right after I got there! : )”
