I became a volunteer because I know how precious my children's photos are to me and I want to give those memories to other families."

Preemie Prints is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization sharing hope with NICU families through a variety of support programs. One of those programs is the gift of NICU photography and preemie photography. NICU families from across the US can request a no-charge photography session by a Preemie Prints volunteer. The family request from can be found on the right side of our website. These sessions are free of charge and for any NICU family, regardless of time spent in the NICU. The NICU photo shoot can take place inside the NICU or after baby is discharged and at home until their 1st birthday. Facing time in a NICU with a premature or critically ill baby is an extremely difficult time for families. Preemie Prints has a mission to share hope by letting families know they are not alone. Preemie Prints currently has over 100 volunteers nationwide. We are always looking for more volunteers to share in our mission! "I am passionate about capturing the beauty and diversity of the world around me and particularly about telling the stories of the people I encounter. I am recently retired from over 40 years of nursing, much of which was as a NICU nurse and most recently (20 years) as a Certified Nurse Midwife serving a broad practice of patients. I believe in the importance of providing professional quality photographs for these families that may not otherwise receive them because of the circumstances of their child's early life experience."

"Hello all! My name is Judith. I'm momma to my not so little 8 month old boy, Damien. I love doing anything that gets me outdoors, I enjoy reading, and I willingly admit that I am a coffee addict. I started playing around with a little point and shoot camera around 8th grade and just fell in love with it. I got my first DSLR in high school and when I graduated I took college classes i photography and design. There's something therapeutic and yet so exhilarating for me about being behind the lens. I first hear about Preemie Prints when my nephew was in the NICU. Those hospital bills are expensive and I love that this organization is able to give parents something to remember this chapter of life that they may have otherwise not been able to have."
