“My daughter, Amore was born two months early and developed NEC, an infection on her intestines. She had two surgeries so far. Hopefully she will only have to get one more surgery.”

A Note From Jen:

“Amore's had a very rough stay in the NICU. She's had two surgeries for NEC (necrotizing enterocolitis, a severe intestinal infection) and will have another in the future. After all of that, she finally has graduated from the NICU and is growing and gaining (and wearing a purple tutu!) in the NICU annex.”

"I am a wife to an amazing supportive husband. I am a mother to three amazing young boys whom we were blessed with through adoption. I am also a mommy to 4 biological Heaven babies, two girls and two boys, all delivered mid-term. This has given me a deep respect for families having to endure the struggles of anything less than the "perfect" birth story. I have photographed newborns/children professionally for 6 years now. I love capturing those little details we never want to forget. I want to volunteer my time to show my support for their journey through the immediate circumstances."

"On May 7th, 2011, I received the scariest text message of my life 'He's coming now!'. It was from my brother in law. My sister had been on hospital bed rest for almost 2 weeks at that point she was only 25 weeks pregnant. All of the interventions and medications they were trying were no longer working to stop her contractions. They were actually beginning to have very negative effects on her. Jackson Peter was born at 25 weeks gestation weighing 1 pound 15 ounces. That little boy just turned 5 and is going to grow up to do amazing things."

"My name is Mindy Tarouilly and I have two beautiful daughters who were also born premature. One at 33 wks and one at 34 wks. I understand the emotional struggle that come with being in the NICU. To be able to take pictures for the families with these special babies fills my heart with joy. For me personally, it's the bet kind of way to give back. I started photography 3 years ago when my husband bought me my first camera. I have found it is something I truly love. I am self taught and improving my skills all the time. “My daughter's name is Mattilynn Scarlett. She was born at 26w 6d gestation. She weighed in at 2lbs 11oz and 13 3/4" long

Mattilynn was in the NICU for 9weeks, mostly to grow. We had very few issues (thank God). She was 5lbs 9oz when we left the NICU.”
