We pray these special memories from Preemie Prints

they were in overcoming their NICU journey together.
A NICU STORY | THOUGHTS FROM MOM
“Mila was born at 32 weeks
due to a uterine rupture. She is just starting her journey. Her older brother
was born at 29 weeks and now a healthy 15 months old so she has someone to show
her the ropes.
Mila's journey is just beginning. She is our second preemie and we are hoping for a quiet stay. Our son came in to this world at 29 weeks and had quite a struggle. I can honestly say I have witnessed a miracle. I watched a boy who no one thought would survive to not only get better but to thrive and grow up healthy. It was so tough going back to the same spot and hearing the same noises (you never forget these) with yet another child and then you realize that you've seen the worst and you've been hopeless and this time is different. Never lose hope.”

A Note From Cassandra:
"I had the pleasure of first
meeting Mila's family for her big brothers NICU grad session some time ago and
also had the pleasure of doing his Birthday pictures where I found out he was
going to be a big brother. We made plans for me to be at Mila's birth and well
things don't always go as planned as Miss Mila decided to come 8 weeks early!
When I went up to meet her she had just hit her Two WEEK Birthday and was up to
4 POUNDS, which is HUGE, and she did not disappoint. Mila's mommy, Daryna, is
such a strong woman. While I was there it was time for rounds, which if you
have never been to a NICU rounds it is made up of about 6-8 professionals, and
to see this "Momma Tiger" advocate for her daughter was amazing. I
can't wait to track this families journey!"
