Preemie Prints is excited to welcome new chapter organizer Jeanna Wattles. Look for Houston outreach to increase in all areas! In addition to our current NICU photography outreach in Houston, look for NICU Hope Meetings, sewing meetings, hospital and online outreach, fundraising events, and much more to resume in the area. Jeanna is excited and ready to bring support through Preemie Prints to NICU parents across the Houston area. Houston personally holds a special place in my heart as my twins girls were born prematurely at The Woman's Hospital of Texas. We are thrilled to have a volunteer passionate about bringing Preemie Prints to the Houston area. Here are a few words from Jeanna....
I am so excited to join the team. I really feel that God has lead me here.
I am Jeanna (Gina) my daughter Alia was born at 25 week 3 days, weighing 1lb 11oz. She had a level 3 and 4 brain bleed on either side. She spent 3 months in the NICU. During that time I lived in the recliner next to her isolette. Through prayer and patience she over came so much and is such a blessing. I love that Preemie Prints understands and promotes the awesome power of prayer. During her stay I would organize family and friends to donate food and items to the Ronald Mcdonald House to help not just myself, but the other parents that were in the same crisis as we were. I also started a group on Facebook to try and help everyone be able to have an outlet to vent and lean on each other. I was fortunate enough to be in a hospital that had volunteers that took scrapbook pictures every week. That was the best part of my week and blessed me tremendously. I stumbled upon Preemie Prints, and almost a year after Alia was born I was lead to help with the organization.
