Please enjoy Preemie Prints' families’ inspirational story & photos.
Consider supporting our mission to share hope with families who have a baby born prematurely or critically ill. We thank our supporters, Preemie Prints volunteers, and donors for allowing us to continue touching the lives of NICU, preemie, and angel families.
We pray these special memories from Preemie Prints
will help families heal and remember how strong
they were in overcoming their NICU journey together.
A NICU STORY | THOUGHTS FROM MOM
“Jack was born at 24 weeks and 4 days. Weighing 1lb and 8 oz. At
30 weeks he was 2 lbs and was switched to nasal prong bubble cpap.
Our NICU journey started out much like every parents’ I presume,
nerve-wrecking and scary. We walked into the NICU after I delivered Jack at 24
weeks and 4 days. He was born September 10th 2015 at 1:23 in the morning. I
remember looking down at this little tiny baby and feeling so deeply sad that
this was the way things had turned out for our family. As the days went on,
tests were run, x rays, IVs were given, countless conversations and meeting so
many people daily that our heads were spinning by the time we would leave each
day We finally started getting into a routine, and now we had our primary
nurses. Boy does that make a difference. It is because of our amazing care team
at Seton that we feel as comfortable as we do. They love and care for Jack the
way I believe they would care for their own children. We are so grateful to
them for their line of work, their big hearts and the compassion during
difficult and trying times. Each day Jack gets stronger and bigger and it is
such a blessing to share that with a fantastic group of people who have your
babies back!”
A Note From Sabrena:
“As soon as I met Lindsay and Chris, I could tell they were very loving, caring and dedicated parents. They live 2 hours away and yet are at the hospital with Jack as often as possible. The way they both interacted with Jack showed me they were so very much in love with their baby. And Jack is such a sweet baby, so happy and alert and clearly well taken care of! I am honored to have been able to take photos for this very deserving family.”
