Please enjoy Preemie Prints' families’ inspirational story & photos.
Consider supporting our mission to share hope with families who have a baby born prematurely or critically ill. We thank our supporters, Preemie Prints volunteers, and donors for allowing us to continue touching the lives of NICU, preemie, and angel families.
We pray these special memories from Preemie Prints
will help families heal and remember how strong
they were in overcoming their NICU journey together.
A NICU STORY | THOUGHTS FROM MOM
"Our triplets were born
at 30 weeks and 4 days. We were blessed to have no major issues at birth. Baby
B required oxygen for 2 days, they each were treated for jaundice, and all have
a heart murmur. However, Baby A suffered from an intestinal infection that was
life threatening. Thankfully it was caught early, treated and he is now healthy
and strong. We were blessed to have nothing but the best doctors, nurses,
therapists and technicians caring for our children while at the Florida hospital. We cannot thank them enough.
We were told from the moment
that we were pregnant with triplets that the pregnancy was high risk. We knew
what could go wrong. However, we remained steadfast in prayer and leaned on our
faith that our God who blessed us with the opportunity to become pregnant,
would also bless us to carry our babies to term healthy and strong. Our time in
the NICU was tough, but we spoke with the other parents, made friends and
leaned on each other for support and encouragement. Pray, stay positive and
keep an open mind and heart. It will seem tough, but your baby is a fighter.
Their strength while in the NICU will surprise you! They are teeny tiny, yet
strong and mighty, so you have no choice but to be just as tough.
We started a blog to share
our journey. It's therapeutic to write about your experiences. Due to hormonal
imbalance, we relied on infertility drugs to assist us with becoming pregnant.
We did not need an ivf, but know many families who did. Either way, natural,
assisted or not, we're beyond blessed to be parents of strong and preemie
triplets. Our biggest achievement and greatest blessings. Http://3paynesinapod.com "

A Note From Cassandra:
“I was able to catch up with the 3 lil "Paynes" in a Pod after one of their doctors visits one evening. Anyone can tell you working with any baby in the evening can be bad (VERY BAD) however these three were awesome and did I mention they drove over an hour for the doctors, spent time there and then drove another 20min to me?? The personalities of these three are so complimentary to each other, one was singing, the other was "ham"ming it up (until the camera came out of course), and the third was quietly escaping while her siblings distracted us! Normally I would edit and do a head swap (or two) for a family photo however do you see the smiles on those parents and the three different directions each baby is looking? Well it was such a happy moment (even though dinnertime had passed) so I left it because quite honestly it was so them. I can only hope I get the privilege of seeing these three again!"

Preemie Prints is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization sharing hope with NICU families through a variety of support programs. One of those programs is the gift of NICU photography and preemie photography. NICU families from across the US can request a no-charge photography session by a Preemie Prints volunteer. The family request from can be found on the right side of our website. These sessions are free of charge and for any NICU family, regardless of time spent in the NICU. The NICU photo shoot can take place inside the NICU or after baby is discharged and at home until their 1st birthday. Facing time in a NICU with a premature or critically ill baby is an extremely difficult time for families. Preemie Prints has a mission to share hope by letting families know they are not alone. Preemie Prints currently has over 100 volunteers nationwide. We are always looking for more volunteers to share in our mission! If you are interested, please email sherri@preemieprints.org and visit our website at www.preemieprints.org. To date Preemie Prints and our volunteers have gifted over 400 NICU family sessions.
This was a Preemie Prints NICU graduate photography session that took place near Orlando, FL.
We're thankful to the family for sharing their story & memories in support of other NICU families.
